For the duration of any Brittany Break you become our house guests. As such you are free to use your time - and our services - as you please.

Relax and unwind with a book, or join us on a sightseeing tour - it's all entirely up to you.

Antique hunting

Whether you’re looking for something specific or ‘just looking’, our antiques weekend takes in the best of Brittany’s antique shops and markets - ideal for bargain hunters and expert collectors alike.

Agricultural study tours

Explore the technologies and systems of farming in Brittany, learning about co-operatives, grassland management and marketing skills to name but a few. The course is led by ex-farmers and experienced agriculture consultants.

Christmas shopping

Every year we run a number of short weekend trips in December for people who want to stock up on wonderful French cheeses, patés and wine for Christmas - or to find unusual gifts. There is plenty of room in our trailer to carry back whatever you may buy. Places are filled quickly - check the year planner now for details.

Creative writing classes

Our writers' workshops welcome everyone from novices to published writers to share in an atmosphere of inspiration and pooled experience. Led by a qualified tutor.

Cycling/motorcycling

Our cycling and motorcycling holidays are very popular with clubs from all over the UK. With quiet roads and plenty of cycle tracks, rural Brittany is ideal for cycling.

Drawing & painting classes

If there is one thing we are not short of at Moulin Conan, it is beautiful, inspiring landscapes. Why not see if you can capture them on canvas? Our fully qualified tutor provides a flexible course that caters for everyone from complete beginners to experienced artists – with plenty of opportunities of individual tuition. Fishing tours

Brittany has some great rivers, one of which runs through the grounds of Moulin Conan. With a wide choice of fishable rivers and lakes, we can cater for all your fishing needs.

French language

We have held courses at the Moulin for all levels of ability - with classes indoors and out, plus field exercises. The Bretons are a friendly lot - and there's no better way to learn than by being thrown in at the deep end.

Fungi foraging/flora & fauna trails

We are spoilt for natural history right on our doorstep. Join one of our flora and fauna weekends or our unique fungi holidays - where you can learn about different kinds of edible fungi, and then pick, cook and eat your own delicious mushroom meal.

Garden tours

From Le Jardin des Melanges and the Exotic Gardens of Roscoff (renowned for its subtropical garden) to the medievel and modern day gardens of Chateau Roche Jagu. There is plenty to keep even the keenest gardener engrossed.

Golfing tours

Horse riding

For beginners and accomplished riders alike. Our local town has a stable and riding school, and you’ll have the whole of Brittany to explore.

House parties

Moulin Conan is an increasingly popular venue for family birthdays, with more and more of our regular customers bringing their parties to us.

Large groups of friends and families are always made to feel very welcome at Moulin Conan - and on any Brittany Break we try to create a party atmosphere, which is why so many of our guests re-book with us time and time again.

We also host office parties and overseas conferences. The Moulin's large dining area, outdoor picnic tables and riverside walks provide the perfect environment to focus the mind - and an even better opportunity to unfocus it come the evening.

Pampering/relaxation breaks

Feel the need to de-stress? Our pampering weekends offer you the chance to learn Swedish Massage and aromatherapy techniques from a qualified masseur as well as enjoying a head, neck and shoulders massage yourself. Download our pampering weekend brochure for more details.

Photography classes

Our course will teach you the basics, including the practical aspects of taking and developing great photographs plus tips on composition - or for the more experienced photographer, join us in this terrific location to practice your art.

Sand yachting

We've recently added sand yachting to our list of regular breaks. There is no shortage of flat and open sandy beaches in Brittany, making it the ideal location to try, perfect or enjoy this increasingly popular sport.

School trips

We regularly play host to a number of school trips, including Blundell's and Two Moors schools from the Devon town where we are based.  If you are a school and would like us to take all the hassle out of organising your students' trips please do get in touch.

All minibus travel is included in the price of your holiday - plus the services of a driver and tour guide along the way. We will happily suggest an itinerary for you, or be pleased to take you wherever you choose to go.

Special needs & learning difficulty groups

We have over ten years' experience of catering for learning difficulty groups and their carers. A Brittany Break can offer the ideal change of environment for groups and staff alike.

Steam car tours

We have a regular group who take their steam-powered cars across the Channel - much to the interest of our neighbours and friends in Guerlesquin!
